Italy manager looks forward to working with Super Eagles forward at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona
New Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti has described Victor Osimhen as a complete striker and a player who fights and knows how to score.
Spalletti is set to work with the Nigeria international in Napoli after replacing Gennaro Gattuso at the end of last season.
During his debut Serie A campaign, Osimhen scored 10 goals in 24 appearances as the Parthenopeans finished fifth in the standings.

Ahead of the 2021-22 season which will start with a home game against Venezia on August 21, the former Inter Milan and Roma coach has revealed that the 22-year-old needs to work on certain areas of his game.
“He will definitely be a fulcrum for us and a strength of this team,” Spalletti said on the club’s website. “He’s a complete striker, he knows how to score and he knows how to fight for his teammates.
“It is clear that it also has aspects to improve and this is where we have to work, but it has already given a great availability.”
Spalletti also spoke about Kalidou Koulibaly and said the Senegalese captain will remain in Napoli despite Everton’s reported interests.
He is also one of the vice-captains in the formation of the Parthenopeans while Lorenzo Insigne wears the captain’s armband.
“In the meantime, I have seen Koulibaly up close and I have to say that for me he has the temper of a captain,” continued Spalletti.
“He has a lot of personality and is also recognized by his teammates. I realized that he talks a lot and often with the team and I like that.
“Koulibaly is one of the vice-captains of this team. As far as I’m concerned, he’s staying in Naples. It is not easy to find a replacement for him, all his teammates appreciate him and I have found that he is constantly talking on the pitch. Everyone respects their presence in the locker rooms.
The 30-year-old has been in Italy since 2014, following his transfer from Belgian Premier League A club Genk.
Koulibaly established his presence in the Napoli defense and he helped them win the Coppa Italia in the 2019-20 season.
