Rangers manager Giovani van Bronckhorst hailed Calvin Bassey after his impressive performances for Gers in his last outings, reports Completesports.com.
Bassey thrived in an unfamiliar center-back position following injuries to Leon Balogun and Filip Helander.
Van Bronckhorst praised the Nigeria international for thriving in his new central role and advised the 21-year-old to continue to shine in the new post.

“I haven’t seen him play a lot as a left-back. I’ve seen pictures, but in my five games here he’s played as a center-back. I’m really happy with him, he has everything for a modern defender, â€Van Bronckhorst told the media, as quoted by Ranger review.
“He’s very fast, he’s good in the air, physically he’s very strong and we’re just working with him on his construction game.
“He’s a very good boy and like Nathan [Patterson] he is open to learning new things, to being better in every game.
The defender has made 10 league appearances for the Scottish Premiership champions this season.
